When given the choice to blend in with the crowd or be herself, Freckled Zelda chooses the latter.
The talented cosplayer and singer took her talents to the “America’s Got Talent” stage where she proudly showed off her unique aesthetic. In addition to taking on the name of the iconic video game character, Zelda, the 19-year-old wore a whimsical fairy outfit, elf ears, and even brought an instrument that can be found in the franchise: an ocarina. As you can imagine, she certainly caught the attention of all four judges.
They were a bit skeptical at first, but they quickly learned why you should never judge a book by its cover! As soon as Freckled Zelda began to sing “Colors of the Wind” from Disney’s “Pocahontas,” the audience erupted into cheers. Her soft yet powerful voice was the perfect fit for this beautiful song, leaving everyone feeling enchanted.
“You showed us who you are through your voice and your being,” Howie Mandel said. “So I’d like to start off with the first yes.”
We can’t wait to see her next performance — it’s sure to be just as magical!
